Quetta Local Government Election Schedule Announced

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule for local government elections in Quetta, confirming that polling will take place on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

According to the schedule, elections will be held in 172 union councils and 641 wards across the city. Returning officers and district returning officers have already displayed public notices outside their offices.

The detailed schedule is as follows:

• Nomination papers to be received and issued: November 13–17

• Publication of initial candidate list: November 18

• Scrutiny of nomination papers: November 19–24

• Deadline for appeals: November 28

• Appellate tribunal decisions: By December 3

• Revised list of candidates: December 4

• Final list after withdrawals: December 5

• Allocation of election symbols: December 6

The ECP stated that all administrative bodies have been instructed to ensure free, fair, and transparent local elections.
